Massive Change Detection
Dymaxion LabsGet the code
Massive Change Detection allows the observation of terrain for the detection of changes in land use, by applying artificial intelligence to satellite images. This technology is being used in Buenos Aires City, Argentina to support public decision making. It has several potential applications, for example the updating of subnational cadastres or to carry out simulations of property valuation and determination of taxes.
This tool was created by Dymaxion Labs of Argentina, and was identified through a Code Expedition as part of the project RG-T3099 "Digital Solutions for Local Taxation" of the IDB: https://www.iadb.org/es/project / RG-T3099. You can read more about its development in the blog: https://blogs.iadb.org/conocimiento-abierto/es/inteligencia-artificial-politicas-publicas-urbanas/
Developed in Python
QGIS 2 plugin that applies change detection algorithms on satellite imagery for building reports for urban planning.
