Energizados
What is this?
Energizados is a machine learning-based tool to detect potential non-technical power losses. The algorithm identifies abnormal or unexpected consumption patterns, reduces regularization times and increases the accuracy of fraud identification. The solution allows entities to plan inspection and control more efficiently and with a higher degree of assertiveness.

Why was it developed?
In 2019, electrical energy losses in the Latin American and Caribbean region were 13.9%, according to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). These losses not only have an impact on energy efficiency but also have economic and social consequences, increasing production costs and being reflected in a higher price for consumers.
In this sense, to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency in the region, Energizados was created, a fast and effective tool that detects possible energy fraud. This tool can prevent non-technical damage to energy in the network and improve efficiency in use, which in turn contributes to the sustainability of the region.
Why are we sharing it?
By sharing the Energizados guide, we hope that more entities understand and use digital transformation to improve efficiency in their processes and, in turn, contribute to creating a culture of responsibility and sustainability in the use of energy. Additionally, by sharing open source, we hope that companies can avoid unnecessary costs by not having to develop their own energy fraud detection tools and can instead use and customize Energizados to meet their specific needs.
