fAIr Venture
Tool Description:
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics Risk Assessment or Responsible AI for Investors ("fAIr Venture") template is an instrument developed by IDB Lab, the innovation and entrepreneurial capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group ( "BID"), through the fAIr LAC+ initiative, the Adolfo Ibáñez University and Magical Startups Chile, which is intended to help investors understand the non-financial risks associated with AI or machine learning technology developed by the companies in which they invest.
What problems does it solve?
The fAIr Venture tool solves the problem of identifying the main ethical risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) developed by private sector companies, especially startups. These risks may include issues such as privacy, fairness, transparency, algorithmic bias, security, and other ethical issues that are crucial to the responsible development and deployment of AI.
How does it work?
To be able to use the tool, you only have to download the Excel file and select the corresponding option in each of the rows of the matrix. The table automatically generates a response associated with the risk level of the selected option so that the resulting radial diagram is generated as the user selects the options.

The user must select an answer to each question. This selection automatically determines a risk level and generates the risk graph on the right.
