Rahat
What is it?
Rahat is an app for cash assistance programs based on blockchain that allows the maintenance of a secure, transparent, and synchronized record of digital operations to support vulnerable communities:
• It facilitates the monitoring of aid distribution in real-time, offering to the beneficiaries redeemable tokens for providers.
• It registers volunteers in the field and local partners, where they can register their beneficiaries and assign them tokens.
Why was it developed?
It was developed to facilitate contact between multilateral organizations such as the World Bank or IDB, including governments, whose objectives include financing support for marginalized or hard-to-reach populations.
Why are we sharing it?
Because it seeks to provide and expand support to low-income sectors of the population, being an open tool where anyone can use it, helping through the application to provide educational materials to disadvantaged students, support maternity and support of children, distribute aid for Covid-19, support people with physical disabilities and/or elderly workers.
