Edutec Guide
Tool Description:
Edutec Guide is a free resource that promotes digital teaching skills. On the one hand, it allows teachers to carry out a self-diagnosis of digital skills and receive a personalized training plan to improve. On the other hand, it provides school directors with a questionnaire to identify the level of technological adoption in their schools. For both teachers and schools, a personalized feedback report is generated with training resources to improve. Finally, the data collected from teachers and schools is made accessible to educational systems so that they can design and strengthen their plans for integrating technology in education.
What problems does it solve?
Edutec Guide allows us to measure the state of play of each educational system in terms of the digital skills of teachers and the technological adoption of educational centers. This is important for educational authorities, since it allows them to identify areas for improvement and analyze how to prioritize investment in various actions. In this sense, the diagnosis is essential to develop a digital transformation plan appropriate for each context, providing a solid basis for the planning and execution of appropriate and effective interventions.
How does it work?
Customization of questionnaires for teachers and schools for each educational system; Aggregate data collection
Use case:
More than 7,000 teachers and 500 schools have participated in the Guía Edutec self-diagnoses (until June 2024). In Colombia, some 1,400 teachers and 80 schools participated; In Honduras, nearly 1,300 teachers and 200 schools participated; and in Nicaragua approximately 4,500 teachers and 250 schools.
