Mobility Cycle
What is this?
Traffic in the city of Recife was identified as the worst in Brazil and one of the 15 worst in the world. Recife is the Brazilian capital that had the most traffic jams in 2021. Some projects are being developed by the city hall in search of solutions to mitigate this problem, such as the expansion of the city's cycle network. Currently, the city of Recife has the Cycling Master Plan, a plan that defines the guidelines for implementing the expansion of the cycling network in the city and metropolitan region.
PoC Ciclo de Mobilidade uses the Strava Metro dataset, public information such as OpenStreetMap, and a dataset on the cycling network of the city of Recife to build a solution to complement the information of the Cycling Master Plan and assist in the debate about mobility in the city from Recife.
