Avni
What is this?
Avni is an open source platform that helps nonprofit organizations and their field workers collect and analyze data and manage projects to facilitate the delivery of community services in the health, education, sanitation, water, waste, agriculture and social security sectors..
Why was it developed?
Most social work relies heavily on community workers, who face numerous challenges in serving large populations, covering all cases while ensuring program progress and research quality.
In response to such needs, mid-2016 saw the birth of the Avni project, formerly called "Open CHS (Open Community Health System)", a platform aimed at village and slum health centers in India with the purpose of facilitating and streamlining the work of community workers.
Today, the platform provides an end-to-end solution for field work, from designing forms for data collection, visualization and analysis, to service delivery and facilitation not only in health, but in almost all sectors: education, sanitation, water, waste, agriculture and social security.
