SGIS
SGIS, System for the Management of Health Incidents, was created to strengthen systematization in reference care, emergency response, obstetric and neonatal emergencies in the state of Chiapas, Mexico.
Each hospital unit is a central information center; responsible for managing patients in maternal health, and monitoring and recording incidents. The processes are controlled through SGIS to coordinate the network of services in order to provide a resolution for the users within the shortest time possible.
The tool was developed within the framework of IDB projects ME-G1001 & ME-G1004 of the Mesoamerican Health initiative, and is used by the Ministry of Health of the State of Chiapas, Mexico.
